Newlin Painting was founded by Jeff Newlin in 1981 with a simple idea: do the prep work right, use the best materials available, and treat every home like it's your own. More than four decades later, that philosophy hasn't changed — and it's the reason homeowners across Virginia keep calling us back.
Jeff is still hands-on with every project. He's not sitting in an office — he's on job sites, doing estimates, checking prep work, and making sure every finish meets his standard. That level of personal attention is rare in this industry, and it's what sets us apart from the bigger companies and the fly-by-night painters.
We started in Winchester and the Shenandoah Valley, painting the historic colonials, farmhouses, and barns that define this region. Over the years, we expanded into Leesburg, Loudoun County, and throughout Northern Virginia — but we never lost the small-town values that got us here. Every customer gets Jeff's cell phone number, a detailed written estimate, and a final walkthrough before we pack up.
Today, Newlin Painting handles everything from single-room interior refreshes to full commercial building exteriors. We're one of the few contractors in the region with deep experience painting barns and large agricultural structures — it's one of our signature services, born out of the Shenandoah Valley's farming heritage.
What We Stand For
Prep Work Is 80% of the Job
Most paint failures come from cutting corners on prep. We never do. Every surface is cleaned, scraped, sanded, patched, caulked, and primed before a drop of paint touches it. It takes longer, but the results last years longer too.
Premium Materials, No Exceptions
We exclusively use Benjamin Moore paints — Regal Select, Aura, and Advance for cabinets. For barns and industrial structures, we use commercial-grade coatings rated for decades of protection. We don't stock bargain paint and never will.
Fully Licensed & Insured
We carry full general liability and workers' compensation insurance on every crew member. We're licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia. You'll never worry about liability when Newlin Painting is on your property.
